Hail damage is almost never visible from the ground

A hailstorm rarely punches through a roof. What it does is bruise the mat beneath the shingle and knock the granules loose, and a bruised shingle looks perfectly ordinary from the driveway. Two summers of UV later, the bruise opens up and the leak arrives long after the storm — and long after most claim windows have closed.

So the first visit is a survey, not a sales call. We chalk out test squares across each slope, count strikes, check the soft metals — vents, gutters, flashing — because they bruise in a way that is impossible to argue with, and photograph everything with a date stamp. If the roof is open to weather, tarping happens before anything else.

What you actually receive

  • Emergency tarping within 24 hours of the first call
  • A dated photo report with marked test squares, formatted the way adjusters read them
  • Someone from our crew on the roof with your adjuster, so nothing gets missed twice
  • A supplement filed on your behalf if the first scope comes back short

Where the cost actually lands

On an approved claim, most of this is not a quote at all — it is a scope. What you pay is your deductible, plus anything you choose to upgrade beyond like-for-like. The variables worth understanding are whether your policy settles at replacement cost or actual cash value, whether the damaged slopes can be matched to the undamaged ones, and whether the original scope covered the flashing and vents or only the field. We work through all three before you sign anything.

We tarp before we talk about the claim. A roof open to the next storm is a bigger problem than a slow adjuster.

Frequently Asked Questions

Need More Information? Contact Us Below
How long does a roof replacement take?

Most homes are dried in on day one and finished within three. Weather is the only real variable, and we will not open a roof we cannot close again the same day.

Will my insurance cover this?

If the damage is storm or hail related, usually yes. We document the roof the way an adjuster needs to see it, file alongside you, and meet the adjuster on the roof so nothing gets quietly trimmed from the scope.

What if you find rot under the old roof?

Every estimate states a decking allowance up front, so rotten sheathing is priced before we start rather than discovered afterwards. We photograph every board we replace and only charge for what is actually swapped.

Do you offer financing?

Yes. Twelve months interest-free for deductibles and smaller repairs, or terms up to twelve years for full replacements. Approved storm claims usually mean you pay the deductible only and we invoice your insurer directly.

What does the warranty actually cover?

Two warranties, both registered before we leave. The manufacturer covers the materials, and our own workmanship warranty covers the installation itself — including flashing, penetrations and the ventilation work.

Do you work on commercial buildings?

About a third of our work is commercial or multi-family, most of it over occupied buildings. Flat and low-slope membrane, standing-seam metal, phased scheduling and night work where tenants cannot be disturbed.
